Liability and On-Site Safety

Last updated: November 4th 2025

This policy outlines responsibilities and safety expectations during on-site production. It exists to protect clients, property, talent, and our team while ensuring a smooth and professional experience.

By booking with Sinew Media, you agree to the terms below.

1. Client Responsibility for Site Conditions

Clients must ensure:

  • Safe and lawful access to the property

  • The location is secure and suitable for filming and photography

  • All areas to be captured are safe and unobstructed

  • Any hazards are disclosed in advance

We reserve the right to refuse access or stop work if conditions are unsafe.

2. Property Access and Permissions

Clients are responsible for acquiring all necessary permissions, including:

  • Property access authorization

  • HOA or building management approvals, if relevant

  • Permits for public or restricted locations

If access is denied or delayed due to missing permissions, rescheduling fees may apply.

3. Conduct on Location

Our team will conduct themselves professionally. We do not tolerate:

  • Harassment or aggressive behavior

  • Unsafe demands

  • Interference with equipment or crew

If conduct from anyone on-site compromises safety or professionalism, we may pause or stop production. Fees still apply for time worked.

4. Equipment and Property Protection

We take care to avoid damage. However:

  • The client is responsible for the site environment and any hazards

  • The client must protect delicate surfaces and belongings before we arrive

  • We are not liable for pre-existing damage

Any Sinew Media equipment damaged due to negligence or unsafe conditions may be billed to the client.

5. Working Areas and Staging

Crew may move lightweight objects (chairs, small decor) to stage shots unless instructed otherwise.

We do not:

  • Move large furniture

  • Disconnect appliances

  • Handle personal or fragile valuables

6. Children, Pets, and Bystanders

For safety reasons:

  • Children and pets must be supervised

  • Individuals not involved in the shoot should avoid equipment areas

We are not responsible for injuries caused by contact with equipment when individuals ignore safety boundaries.

7. Weather and Outdoor Conditions

If environmental conditions create a risk to people or equipment, we may:

  • Adjust the shoot plan

  • Limit outdoor work

  • Reschedule if necessary

Weather-related reshoots follow our standard scheduling policy unless otherwise agreed.

8. Drone Operations (if applicable)

Drone work follows aviation laws and safety protocols. We may decline flights due to:

  • Restricted zones

  • Weather or visibility

  • Crowded environments

  • Safety concerns

Buyer assumes no guarantee of flight unless conditions allow.

9. Liability Limitations

Sinew Media is not responsible for:

  • Accidents caused by unsafe site conditions

  • Delays due to client preparation issues

  • Losses arising from the use of delivered media

  • Property damage not caused by our negligence

Our liability will not exceed the amount paid for the project.

10. Emergency Situations

In the event of injury, threat, or hazard, crew may suspend activity and evacuate the location. Rescheduling fees may apply unless circumstances are outside client control.
